Denys Antipov Korean Language Center was based at Kyiv University and a tree was planted in honor of the teacher who died in the war

On June 30, 2022, on the Hero's birthday, Taras Shevchenko Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology of KNU gathered a lot of people close to Denys - parents, the administration of SCIF and KNU, his colleagues and friends. Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea Jeong Yong Kim also came to pay his respects to the Hero of Ukraine.

 

On this day, in honor of Denys, a beech plant brought from the homeland of the fallen soldier was planted in the yard of the Institute of Philology (that was his battle call sign - "Beech"), a memorial plaque was opened, and the Center of Korean Language and Literature named after him was based.

"Denis was a real warrior, teacher, intellectual. We will really remember him, these are not just words. He was a worthy man, a courageous defender, an outstanding son of Ukraine and a worthy son of his parents! , — noted the rector of the university, Volodymyr Bugrov. - Before saying goodbye to Denys at the Askoldova grave, I looked over the pictures with him - I didn't see him sad in any of them; the main thing is that his eyes were always smiling and radiant. I call on all of us, when we remember our worthy colleague, to smile and thank God, fate and Denys's parents for the fact that we had the honor to walk a certain part of our life path side by side. I believe that everything that Denys Antipov did with a bright faith in the victory of Ukraine will certainly end in the Victory of Ukraine."
