The scholarship allowed me to dedicate sufficient time to organizing and carrying out our volunteer projects, as well as to studying the Korean language, literature, and culture.

I would like to thank the Foundation—every person who contributes to its work. Thank you for preserving Denys’s memory and for supporting those who could have been his students. I am also grateful to the donors for making it possible for the Foundation to continue its work and help us.

Thank you to Denys’s family for this wonderful initiative, which preserves and promotes his legacy. Thank you for who Denys was, because our families are our beginning and the foundation of our worldview. Thank you for continuing to live, work, and support both our country and its students.

I would also like to thank Denys for the values he embodied in his life—for showing what it means to be a patriot, what it means to love one’s work, what it means to care about people, and what it means to love life.

This scholarship provides students with additional support and opportunities for personal growth, allowing them to become more actively involved in community and volunteer activities (while still getting a good night’s sleep!). Personally, it also serves as a source of motivation—or perhaps a greater sense of responsibility—toward my studies and learning the Korean language.

Of course, the greater the level of support, the better.
